Iona Community

Many of the prayers used during the services at St Marys come from the Iona Community. Iona is where christianity was first introduced into Scotland when St Columba landed there.
 

Taize

Taize is a religious community in mid France established by Brother Roger in the 1940s. Every week hundreds of young people from around the world visit Taize. Taize prayer is medetative. It is often accompanied by music. The prayer normally consists of a short phrase being repeated interspersed by silence.
