Passover Meal
If you’ve not been to a Passover meal this will be an eye-opener.
This is a family event for all ages. It is both fun and very moving at the same time. Passover is the greatest Jewish feast of the year and also what Jesus celebrated with his disciples the night before he was crucified.
We hear the story of the escape from Egypt and the promise of new life. Within the story symbolic foods are used, which speak of the mix of joy and pain that life generally brings us. Then we enjoy a good meal together, and there will be songs and some games too.
The Passover meal takes us straight back to the Last Supper and shows how firmly our roots are in Jewish tradition - and how startlingly Jesus’ words changed every expectation.
